Toverland released its masterplan some time ago however this doesnt mean Efteling remains silent 2024: Opening Danse Macabre, start new fairytale 2025: Opening new Efteling Grand Hotel, starting makeover Raveleijn and a new fairytale opening 2026: Finishing makeover Raveleijn and possible other things 2027: Start building tallest attraction of the park.

Shake off the salt - definitely aimed at the critics there. Looks like a great themed water ride. And the main drop is still epic, facing right towards the castle.

Splash mountain will always be my favourite. So glad my girls got to go on it before it changed

Only rode Splash Mountain once in December 2019 and had the front row but I didn't get that wet. I thought it looked very congested to begin with, but it seemed to be more spread out by the big drop, but I could certainly be wrong. I'll certainly give this a go when I'm next there, but think that'll be a few years away yet.

How come, you had 2 leave your luggage behind??

I never ever got wet on splash mountain and was bored of the theming but nice to see updated visuals and definitely a wetter experience

Splash Mountain was my favourite ride in the park. Another reason to add Japan to the bucket list

Its only when you visit Disneyworld and universal that you realise the poor offerings that we are given in Uk. I hope you don't come back dejected... OH MAKE SURE YOU VISIT TYPHOON LAGOON and compare it with Splash Landings!! You'll see why I look down on splash landings as its just for kids.

Those animatronics were sick. I couldn't tell between them and the screens. Bravo

Also didn't get to ride Splash but i'm yet to see a POV of Splash that looked better than this does. I guess the build up to the drop could build more anticipation? but people would have still said this was worse no matter what disney could have done. Most people are emotionally wedded to their nostalgia. 'Back in my day x was better' etc etc. Just came back from there last week, hope you're applying that sunscreen 🥵 Have fun! October 2025, my family and I will be visiting from Maine to celebrate Samhain (Halloween). For the first time in the over 10 times we've been to Orlando, we will not be visiting any of the DEI-sney parks. We will instead be going to a Universal resort, Universal Studios, and Epic Universe. For me, I'm most excited for Dark Universe and Isle of Berk, although all of the lands look amazing.

I haven't been on Hyperia yet but from everything I've seen/heard so far I feel like it's echoing something Scott O'Neil said to you in your interview. This feels very much like a good, solid base on which Merlin can (hopefully) build. Not the world class experience that people would like but something that hopefully shows that one day Merlin will be capable of getting there

I understand the history of the ride but things change and the new Disney anamtronics are just phenomenal

Yeah Splash Mountain like u said was one of them old nostalgia rides, dated film it was based off so was needing this change it will always be compared to Splash Mountain do agree the new storyline is confusing or lack off which i hope over time gets altered and with the overall area gets a new orlean theme too.

I'm the opposite, rode splash but obviously not Tianas yet. Even I would say Tianas looks better. In terms of changing the surrounding area, there's a project called 'Beyond Big Thunder', which looks set to be the biggest expansion to magic kingdom since it opened, with Tianas close proximity to it, it's possible they might incorporate it into that project

story from what i can understand is that your helping tiana looking for critters that can play music for a party and your going round looking for them and you get turned into a frog and you find them and then you get turned back into a human on the big drop for the party at the end of the ride

Arriving at Orlando was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I can't believe it was 5 years ago.

The first time I rode Splash Mountain it had only been open a week, all the way back in Oct 92
